Richard Price and Others Bending-Genre at the CCA in Glasgow

As some of you may know, I've been running a series of workshops / conversations around genre-bending and experimental essaying.  We've been looking particularly at working across mediums and disciplines.

On Sunday 11th of June 6-8 at the CCA in Glasgow, we're hosting a FREE event that will feature new work from Richard Price (specifically written for the event, and pushing at his own process) and also work shared by writers who have attended the workshops.

Richard Price is a poet, novelist and essayist. His award-winning poetry includes Small World (Carcanet, 2012), which reflects on fatherhood and disability in children and adults. This collection won Creative Scotland's SMIT Poetry Book for the Year. He has recently published the poetry collection Moon for Sale, and the acclaimed book of essays Is This a Poem? (Molecular Press). He is Head of Contemporary British Collections at the British Library, London.

So far the conversations have been intense and we're hoping to showcase some of the best new experimental essaying taking place in Scotland.

Later this summer we will be making a call for submissions for a publication of experimental work (published in conjunction with MAP Magazine) and so this is a good event to get a handle on what that might mean and what you might write and submit.
